Johnny's Barbecue

About us

We're more than just another restaurant in Louisburg. We're sharing a tradition steeped in food and community that defines our part of North Carolina. Passed down since 1999, our eatery was founded by Johnny and Lydia Gardner as a handshake and a smile, built on values as sturdy as a pitmaster's apron: faith, family, and a promise to our community. From signature whole hog barbecue to a lineup of country vegetables and golden hushpuppies, we pour heart into every meal, slow-cooked and seasoned with care.

We believe outstanding food should bring people together, so we keep our doors open, our counters moving fast, and our kitchen focused on quality without shortcuts. Supporting local causes and cheering on our hometown crowd isn't just tradition here; it's a way of life. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite, a relaxed dinner, or feeding a crowd at home, you're always family at Johnny's. Pull up a chair. There's plenty to go around.
